John.  Nice fin design.  I noticed that you mentioned you like your rockets to go where you point them, they do....they go up but don't LAND where you want them.  ;D

What size motor mount are you using?  By the looks of the picture, the fins appear to be cut as one piece as opposed to split fin.  Correct?

MMT 75mm.  It will be made using split fins.  Easier to finish each fin before assembly that way.

Also I seem to have seriously busted my RS, tried installing just wont work ooopps

Could try Open Rocket and see what their calculations are. They use Barrowman method for CP.

The error is in the Barrowman equations.  I did the Barrowman calculation by hand once and got the same error.  I will try OpenRocket though for a simple design and see though.

Attached are two OR files of the exact same rocket. One just modeled the fins as a split fin with zero space between them. Two different CP values....
