Inertial Guidence - jgoggins - 03-01-2017

Hi All.
I'm working on a side project (nothing for NAR rockets), that I've come to a fork in the road.  If anyone can give me their thoughts on the matter, I'd appreciate their views.  I have not determined what approach I want to take to get to the same outcome.  One vs the other, is my dilemma. Both have vibration, and cost issues.  Should I use a gimbaled system, or a strap down?

A little more detail might help to respond to your question.

What are you trying to guide? What are the accuracy requirements?

JD.
I'm trying to design a system with gyros, that will keep the "package" always in a vertical position. I'll hit you up in email to further inform you of exactly what I'm looking for and why.
Thanks.
